Dr. Trillion Small Joins Coaching Staff as Mental Performance Coach
The Dallas Jackals are proud to announce Dr. Trillion Small is joining the coaching staff as Mental Performance Coach. Dr. Small has a Ph.D. in Clinical Counseling and has been a mental training coach and mental health counselor for eight years.
Originally from San Antonio, Texas, Dr. Small was raised in Birmingham, Alabama. She earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology from University of Missouri-Columbia before moving to Tennessee to complete her Masters in Professional Counseling at Lipscomb University in Nashville. In 2018, Dr. Small completed her Ph.D Clinical Counseling at Trevecca Nazarene University.
Dr. Small moved to Dallas, Texas in 2017 and soon founded Attachment Leadership, which serves as the umbrella for her mental health counseling practice and business psychology consulting. She provides customized wellness & leadership development programs, emotional intelligence corporate training, and youth development curriculum. Additionally, she is the author of six books and the founder of her book publishing company, They Speak Publishing.
Dr. Small is also an adjunct professor at The University of Texas at Dallas in the Behavioral & Brain Sciences Department. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, a certified John Maxwell leadership development strategist, and a Sport and Performance Psychology Consultant where she provides mental training for high performers from the locker room to the boardroom.
Recently, Dr. Small was a TEDx Speaker. Her talk titled “Overcoming the Fear of Love” provides the psychological and neurological perspective of fear; particularly as it relates to love. Trillion is also the Founder and Lead Organizer for TEDxFrisco.
She was a runner up for the 2019 Collin County Woman of the Year and was recognized as Nashville’s Black 40 under 40 in 2016. Dr. Small has also been seen on national and international television and heard on several local news and nationally syndicated talk show radio stations such as: CBS, NBS, The Word Network, CTN, American Family Radio, and Total Living Network.
