Fijian Tuidraki Comes to Dallas
Tuidraki was born and raised in Nadi, Fiji, a town on the west side of the island known for tourism. Tuidraki attended and played rugby at Ratu Navula College before deciding to move to Fiji’s capital city Suva to pursue rugby.
Continuing his rugby career, Tuidraki joined Gaunavou Rugby Club in 2016. In 2017, he joined the Australian based club Southern District Colts.
In 2019, Tuidraki began his hunt of climbing the ranks of Nadi Rugby, his Provincial Club. Over a couple of season, he represented Fijian Latui and Fijian Drua. In 2019, Tuidraki joined the Fijian Warriors where he helped the team become Pacific Rugby Challenge Champions. In 2020, Tuidraki captained the Warriors and played in the Pacific Rugby Challenge once again.
Currently, Tuidraki plays for Naitasiri Highlanders Club. “Rugby is my passion. It was a dream that required much sacrifice and commitment to be where I am today, but it was worth it,” Tuidraki said. “I love rugby because it not only keeps you fit, but also teaches morals for you to lead your life.”
Tuidraki is excited to join the Jackals to further his rugby experience. He also hopes to make his parents and everyone that had been involved in his rugby journal proud by furthering his career in the US. He joked, “I’m excited to move to Dallas as this would be my first time to go past Australia. But all jokes aside, I look forward to experiencing life in Dallas and hopefully one day bring my family over to experience it with me.” Welcome to the pack Tuidraki!
