Player’s Player – Conrado Roura
Voted on by his fellow players for who puts the team first, inspires and encourages in all instances, your Inaugural Dallas Jackals Player’s Player is Conrado Roura. Showing resilient fortitude on and off the pitch, Roura was a mainstay for positive moral all season long.
Pack Member of the Year – Matoko Noudehou
Described as someone who “feeds the Pack before themselves,” the Inaugural Pack Member of the Year was selected by input from players and staff. Giving his all to prepare the squad week in and week out as Head of Strength & Conditioning and later stepping onto the pitch when called upon, Matoko Noudehou earned Pack Member of the Year. Noudehou exemplified what it meant to be a Pack member through and through.
Forward of the Year – Conrado Roura
The Inaugural Jackals Forward of the Year goes to Second/Back Row Conrado Roura. With 13 starts in the 2022 season, 6 as Vice-Captain, Roura showed great character throughout the Inaugural Season. Always uplifting teammates while continuing to work hard, Roura scored four Tries in his debut MLR season.
Back of the Year – Adriaan Carelse
The Inaugural Jackals Back of the Year goes to Fly Half Adriaan Carelse. Despite missing matches due to injury, Carelse led the Pack in points scored with 42 in 10 starts, once as Captain and once as Vice-Captain. He racked up 12 conversions and six penalty goals. An attacking 10 with ability to create and make line breaks, Carelse was a constant in team leadership as well.
Most Improved – Ryheem Powell
Making his MLR debut on May 14 in Toronto, Forward Ryheem Powell was awarded Most Improved for the Jackals Inaugural Season. Powell joined the Pack as a Development Player after entering the 2022 MLR Collegiate Draft. As a Development Player, Powell trained day in and day out with the MLR squad, working to hone his craft and gain knowledge anywhere he could. Powell went on to make one more appearance in the Jackals Inaugural Season.
