
JACKALS BITTEN BY SEAWOLVES
The Jackals fell to the defending Western Conference Champion Seattle Seawolves on Friday night at Starfire Sports Complex by the score of 61-19.
Seattle opened the scoring six minutes in. The Pack responded a minute later. Dallas delievered a driving phase that saw the ball cut up and down the pitch. Moroni finished the attack off with a try courtesy of a cross-body pass from Martin Elias late in the 7th minute. Elias curved the ball inside the left post on the conversion kick.
From then on, it was Seattle who controlled the field.
The second half provided sparkling moments for the Jackals, though. Danny Christensen juked out three Seawolves down the middle of the pitch, creating momentum and opening an opportunity to strike down the side. Booysen received the last pass next to the sideline and dove in to secure the try. Elias narrowly peeled in the conversion kick as the clock neared the end.
Tomy Malanos added a try (78’) to ensure his side continued to fight. Malanos has three tries across two matches.
