Jackals sign local player Jinho Mun
Jinho began playing rugby at a young age, much like any other kid living in New Zealand. It wasn’t until he moved to Dunedin, New Zealand that he thought seriously about playing professionally. Before moving to Dunedin, Jinho played for the Hellers Premier Colts of the Linwood Rugby Club based in Linwood, New Zealand.
In his first year playing for Harbour RFC Hawks in Dunedin, he helped his team to the Championship Cup. During his second season, Jinho got an irresistible offer to play in the Top League Tournament for Yamaha Jubilo in Japan as an injury replacement.
A few months later, he was called to join the Korea 7’s team in the last leg of the Asia Rugby Sevens Series in Sri Lanka. With his American passport, Jin made the journey 7,500 miles to Dallas, TX to play for the Dallas Harlequins.
Jinho is excited to be a part of not only growing the game in Texas, but in the US in general. He is excited to meet his fellow teammates, the coaching staff, and seeing the fans cover Globe Life Park in Arlington in Jackal’s colors! Welcome to the pack Jinho!
