New Addition to Jackals Front Office
The Dallas Jackals are happy to announce Jeff Ackels has joined the Front Office. Born and raised in Dallas, Jeff Ackels, also known as “Jackels” to his friends and family, has found a fitting place with the Dallas Jackals.
Ackels attended Saint Louis University (SLU), earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, focusing on journalism and media studies, and a minor in Marketing. During his senior year, he worked for the University’s athletic department helping produce live streams of a variety of Saint Louis sporting events and even broadcasted a few baseball games.
After graduating from SLU in 2017, Ackels returned to Dallas and worked for The Marketing Arm, a full service marketing agency, where he gained experience and developed skills in experiential marketing.
In 2018, Ackels returned to St. Louis for graduate school and accepted an assistantship position with SLU’s marketing and communication department. During his time in graduate school, he wrote for the school’s online and digital news source Newslink and helped film, edit, and produce a wide range of videos that were featured on their social media accounts and website. In 2020, he graduated with a Master’s in Communication.
His love for the city of Dallas, Dallas sports, and family brought him back to his hometown where he accepted the Community Development Manager position with Dallas Jackals Rugby.
“Working for a professional Dallas sports team is a dream come true. This is something I thought would take a long time to achieve, and being a part of a team from the beginning is even more special,” Ackels said. “I’m excited to be a part of this organization and to watch our fanbase continue to grow each season.”
“Jeff has the drive and passion to help grow the Jackals fanbase while providing top-notch customer service and unique individualized experiences. I look forward to watching him succeed in the organization,” said Zach Siewert, VP of Ticket Sales.
Ackels resides in North Texas and in his free time likes avoiding 95’s on the golf course, going to the movies, and collecting comic books.
We are happy to welcome Jeff Ackels to the pack!
