Oliver Feagin Joins as Development Player
The Dallas Jackals are happy to announce Oliver Feagin has joined as Development Player!
Growing up in Harbor City, California in LA County, Feagin was an avid basketball and football fan. He was introduced to rugby 10 years old by watching the World Sevens Series, but did start playing until college.
Feagin began his rugby career at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York then joined Santa Monica Rugby in 2019. He went on to be selected to represent Southern California on the U20 side. Continuing his education and playing career, Feagin moved to Trinity Western University in BC, Canada. Here he was co-captain of the squad. Feagin then moved to rugby powerhouse Life University in 2020.
Wanting to gain international experience, Feagin jumped to South Africa in early 2021 where he attended the Rugby Travel Academy and played for Centurion Rugby.
Feagin is currently in Ireland attending Rugby Academy Ireland and competing for Newbridge Rugby.
“Being signed by the Dallas Jackals is an amazing opportunity to continue my rugby journey and make my first step as a professional player,” Feagin said. “I am very grateful and very thankful to the Jackals organization for giving me this opportunity.”
When asked about Dallas, he said, “I am most looking forward to experiencing life in Dallas and getting out into the community to spread the word about rugby and the Jackals organization.”
