Christian Adams Signs for Dallas Jackals Inaugural Season
The Dallas Jackals are excited to announce Christian Adams has joined the Jackals! The former AIC Yellow Jacket and New England Free Jack looks forward to continuing his MLR career in Dallas.
Adams, 27, was born and raised in Washington, DC where he was introduced to rugby in the 9th grade at Perry Street Prep in an extracurricular class. He would officially start to play his Junior year and was named to the All-American 7s side and played in the LVI ‘12/’13. The summer before his Senior year, Adams was selected for the All-American 15’s squad and participated in the tour to Argentina.
He continued his rugby career at American International College (AIC). While majoring in Criminal Justice, Adams won three conference titles and aided the squad to three National 7s Championships, taking home second in 2016. He also participated in the 2017 College Rugby Championship with AIC.
While at AIC, Adams competed with the Old Blue Men’s 7s side and went on to join Mystic River RFC for the ‘18/’19 15s season. Adams then joined the MLR’s New England Free Jacks for their Exhibition Season in 2018.
The youngest of two with an older brother, Adams describes his extended family as his “village.” Adams enjoys music writing, podcasting, listening to music and podcasts, and spending as much time outdoors as possible.
“I am most excited to be back on the pitch,” Adams said. “And to meet some new faces and build bonds with the new and old.” He continued, “I’m super excited to be coming to Texas, one of the few southern states I haven’t been to yet. I’m ready to see the natural landscape, experience the state’s culture, and find great eats in Dallas.”
Elaine Vassie, Jackals GM, said, “With the kind of power I can only describe as “punchy,” Christian’s as comfortable carrying in traffic as he is beating someone in the 5m channel. Having featured in Free Jacks exhibition season warm up games before pursuing his career in social work, I’m excited to welcome Christian back to the league.”
Welcome to the Pack Christian!
