First Meeting Between Dallas and ATL
Dallas, TX – The Dallas Jackals are set to face Rugby ATL for the first time at Silverbacks Park in Atlanta. The match begins at 11:00 AM (CST) and will be broadcasted on Fox Sports 1.
The Jackals square off against an opponent who ended their last match tied 34-34. Dallas comes in after having almost completed the comeback of the season. Trailing by 28 points, the Jackals outscored the visiting Utah Warriors 26-8 for the final 60 minutes of match time.
“We have a lot of spirit. We don’t care what’s on the scoreboard,” – forward Conrado Roura said.
“We don’t have room to make mistakes like we did last match [against Utah].”
Martin Elias, an anchor in the kicking department, has posted a 93.33% success rate across conversions and penalty kicks since Mar. 25, going 14 for 15 on all attempts. He’s produced 32 points in that span.
“We believe in the process and enjoy the game,” Elias said.
The fly-half stated “we have [had] good games this season” despite the outcomes.
Facing the upstart ATL side, possession can be a critical factor this Saturday.
“We want to keep the ball and play,” – Conrado explained.
A strong offensive outing could shift momentum into Dallas’ hands. ATL does not generate points like their eastern conference counterparts. In fact, it slots second-to-last in the conference with 258 points.
Opening kick for Dallas versus ATL will be broadcasted on FS1 at 11:00 a.m. CST on Saturday morning.
There’s two more matches at Choctaw Stadium left. Don’t miss out on seeing the perfect mix of football, basketball, and soccer live! Get your tickets here!
