2022 Captain and Vice Captain Announcement
The Dallas Jackals have announced Chris Pennell as Captain and Ryan Bower as Vice Captain for their 2022 Inaugural Major League Rugby Season. Pennell, long-time Worcester Warrior and and capped by England, will lead the team through the Inaugural campaign. Ryan Bower, experienced Premiership player from Leicester Tigers and Worcester Warriors, will serve as Vice Captain.
“I’m honored to be captaining the Jackals for our Inaugural Season in the MLR,” said Pennell. “I’m learning more about the rich history of rugby in DFW and to add to that story with the Jackals is a huge responsibility for us. It’s a challenge we look forward to and we hope to represent DFW well and make people proud. This is a special group of people with big ambitions. I’m thrilled to be part of this journey.”
The Jackals start their 2022 season on Saturday, February 5th on the road against the Austin AGs at 6pm CT. All fans, US and International, can catch the action on The Rugby Network LIVE and for free.
Before returning home to play for The Pack for the first time, the squad will travel to San Diego to face the Legion on Saturday, February 12th at 3pm CT.
The squad will make their debut in front of the home crowd on Saturday, February 19th at 7pm CT at Choctaw Stadium in Arlington, TX. Get your tickets today!
