RESILIENT JACKALS FACE SEATTLE SEAWOLVES
The Dallas Jackals visit the Seattle Seawolves on Friday night to close out their season series at StarFireSports Complex. The match will be broadcasted on FS1. The sides last met on Mar. 3rd when Dallas was unable to generate offense in the second half against the brimming with MLR Shield aspirations.
Since then, the Pack has never been completely out of matches. Four of the last five matches have seen Dallas score the same or more than during the first 40 minutes.
Coach Agustin Cavalieri praised his boys’ ability to battle back regardless of the score, stating “the resiliency is great.”
Dallas has rallied once already during the 2023 campaign when trailing by double digits. It happened in Round 5 against the Chicago Hounds
Tomy Malanos, this week’s Man of the Match, registered two tries on Saturday night. He called it an “honor” to be recognized by his teammates and coaches that way.
“I don’t listen to music. I just like to talk with the guys before every game,” Malanos explained when asked what is pregame routine is.
Malanos was one of five Jackals to post tries against the San Diego Legion on Saturday. Conrado Roura, Adriaan Booysen, Jero Gomez Vara, and Campbell Johnstone collected tries as well.
The Pack look to generate a collective scoring performance on Friday night in Tukwila, WA at 9:00 p.m. (CT). Dallas has never defeated Seattle, but going toe-to-toe with the best team in the MLR last weekend and almost picking up the win proves the Jackals are a resilient side.
