The Dallas Jackals Have Re-Signed, Lock, Lucas Bur

ARLINGTON, TX – The Dallas Jackals have re-signed Lucas Bur, lock, for the 2024 Major league Rugby season. The 6’5’’, 235 pound Bur is from Argentina and developed at the Jockey Club in Rosario. He was a standout for Argentina at the 2019 World Rugby U20’s Championship.

A reliable workhorse and team leader, Bur had 15 starts and accumulated a total of 1,160 in minutes played for the Dallas Jackals in the 2023 season. Bur stated he’s “Thrilled to be back for another season with the Jackals” and “I fell in love with DFW and can’t wait to get back to training with my teammates.” 

Dallas Jackals General Manager, Santiago Sodini, said he “Couldn’t be happier to have Lucas back with us next year. With his high work rate and exceptional lineout ability, he’s going to be a key player for us.”
