The Dallas Jackals Have Signed, Utility Back, Nic Benn
ARLINGTON, TX – The Dallas Jackals have signed Nic Benn, utility back, for the 2024 Major League Rugby season. The 6‘2” 205-pound Australian was selected 13th overall by the Jackals in the December 2023 Dispersal Draft.
Benn had his 2023 season with the Toronto Arrows cut short by a shoulder injury suffered in the first match after 22 minutes. Prior to Toronto, Benn played for Shute Shield side Manly where he scored six tries for the senior team in 2022 after two years with the club’s U20 program.
Although he is a native of Newcastle, Australia, Benn is Canadian eligible and a domestic player due to his mother’s citizenship of British Columbia.
