
Former American Raptor Comes To Dallas
Dallas Jackals are happy to announce Shawn Clark has signed for the 2022 Inaugural Season!
Standing at 6’9, Clark is from Potsdam, New York within the North Country of the state. He was a three sport athlete growing up playing football, basketball, and baseball. He continued his football career in college at D1 Monmouth University playing Tight End. While at Monmouth, he was named 1st Team All-Conference and 1st Team All Region.
After college, Clark was invited to a NFL camp and workout by the Indianapolis Colts and further continued his professional football career with The Spring League’s The Blues in 2020.
Clark began his rugby career in January 2021 with the now American Raptors, formerly Colorado XO’s, a rugby club made of crossover players with the goal of developing domestic elite talent.
Gaining more rugby experience, Clark joined the USA U23s for Rugbytown 7s in August 2021 and was invited to the USA Olympic 7s High Performance Camp in September 2021.
Clark has two brothers and enjoys golfing, hunting, fishing, and spending time on the St. Lawrence River.
“I am most excited to be joining the Dallas Jackals because I have always enjoyed the process of chasing excellence and greatness,” Clark continued, “something that I feel the Jackals staff and team fully embodies in this inaugural season and beyond.”
“Getting the opportunity to play in the MLR, I believe I can make a huge impact on this Dallas team and the entire MLR, redefining what a Second Row can do in this game.”
Clark continued, “Playing for the Dallas Cowboys was always a childhood dream, and getting to go to my job everyday next door to AT&T Stadium, is a true blessing.”
