Jeronimo Gomez Vara Returns For The 2024 Season
ARLINGTON, TX – Dallas Jackals Rugby Club announces Jero Gomez Vara will once again don the Dallas Jackals kit once again during the 2024 season. The team’s 2023 captain started every match, displaying leadership, skill, and determination.
Dallas Jackals General Manager Santiago Sodini said, “Gomez Vara’s ability to deliver in critical moments impressed us and we believe he is important to the growth of our organization on and off the pitch.”
Gomez Vara, the team’s consistent flanker, pounded through opposing lines for 4 tries and supported the club’s improved scrum play. Gomez Vara ranked second on the team in ball carries with 108 during the 2023 season.
The Corrientes, ARG native was named to the Honorable Mention starting XV on Major League Rugby’s all-MLR teams on Jul. 18.
