The Dallas Jackals Have Re-Signed, Back Row, Cameron Nelson
ARLINGTON, TX – The Dallas Jackals have re-signed Cameron Nelson, back row, for the 2024 Major League Rugby season. At 6‘0” and 215-pounds, the 25-year-old American joined the Jackals partway through last season, appearing in six matches.
From Wirt County, West Virginia, Nelson began his athletic career as a football running back. It was at Marshall University in 2016 where he discovered rugby and made the Thundering Herd Rugby Club. He then transferred to West Virginia University where he was the league’s top try-scorer.
After college, Nelson moved to Germany with his wife, who is in the US Air Force, and played with Honeybadger RFC in Kaiserslautern from 2020 to 2022.
