The Dallas Jackals Have Signed, Center, Mitchell Richardson
ARLINGTON, TX – The Dallas Jackals have signed Mitchell Richardson, center, for the 2024 Major League Rugby season. The 6‘2” 215-pound Canadian was selected 2nd overall by the Jackals in the December 2023 Dispersal Draft.
Richardson comes to Dallas from the Toronto Arrows where he spent the previous five seasons. 2023 was a career year for Richardson playing 905 minutes in 12 starts with four tries and earning his first international cap for Canada.
From Stoney Creek, Ontario, Richardson was a tri-sport athlete in high school competing in soccer, hockey, and rugby. He officially chose rugby after a successful tryout for the Canada U20s despite having a contract offer with the Junior B Ancaster Avalanche for hockey.
