The Dallas Jackals Have Signed, Scrum Half, Juan Dee Oliver
ARLINGTON, TX – The Dallas Jackals have signed Juan Dee Oliver, scrum half, for the 2024 Major League Rugby season. The 5‘7” 176-pound South African makes his MLR debut this season with the Jackals.
From Bloemfontein, South Africa, Oliver played for his hometown club, Toyota Cheetahs, the previous two years. The 21-year-old was acquired by the Cheetahs from Grey College where he played in the 1st XV and often took goal kicking duties.
As a multi-sport athlete, Oliver was also an accomplished cricket player in his home country, but ultimately decided to pursue rugby professionally.
“My goals are to train as hard as I can and to be the best in my position through hard work. Staying humble is also right up there and hopefully, I will reach the top one day,” said Oliver.
