The Dallas Jackals Have Re-Signed, Center, Tomas Cubilla
ARLINGTON, TX – The Dallas Jackals have re-signed, center, Tomas Cubilla for the 2024 Major League Rugby season. The 6 ‘0” 220 pound Cubilla is from Buenos Aires, Argentina joined the Jackals midway through the 2023 season and started in three games.
Cubilla has played rugby for Alumni in the National de Clubes and URBA Top 14 since 2017. He also played for Jaguares XV in the Currie Cup First Division and for Ceibos in Super Liga Americana from 2019-2020, Jaguares XV in Super Liga Americana and was the team’s captain from 2020-2022 and was selected for Argentinas XV’s 2022 of Portugal and Georgia and captained the team.
Cubilla said, “I’m very grateful to be coming back to the Jackals. Dallas is a very exciting place to be and has the best rugby community.”
Dallas Jackals General Manager, Santiago Sodini, said “Tomas came in late last season and did really well for us. We are definitely looking forward to having him back again this year.”
